Madrigal and Hagan setup top ten showdown

IAwrestle is particularly proud to bring you this next matchup which will pit two top ten wrestlers from the Midwest against each other. Anthony Madrigal of Oak Park River Forest, Illinois comes into the match ranked #5 looking to fend off the #6 Kyran Hagan of Eureka, Missouri.

Madrigal comes into the matchup a 2016 state runner-up for OPRF, but he’s lit up the national scene earning a runner-up performance at the 2015 Cadet Freestyle nationals in Fargo. He’s also finished third at both the Walsh Ironman and USAW Preseason nationals, and earned All-American honors at the 2014 Cadet Freestyle nationals.

Hagan was third at this year’s Missouri state championships, but has also picked up top finishes at UWW Cadet nationals (fourth), USAW Preseason nationals (runner-up), Cadet Freestyle nationals (fourth), and Cadet Greco nationals (runner-up).

ABOUT NIGHT OF CONFLICT:

The IAwrestle Team is proud to announce that this October we will be hosting a premier wrestling event titled “The Night of Conflict 2”, and will pit some of the best talent that the country has to offer in a head-to-head battle for supremacy of each weight class. The event is scheduled for October 14, 2016 in Carver-Hawkeye Arena and it will take place the day before the preseason tournament, the Conflict at Carver. The dual will be broadcasted on FloWrestling.

Following weigh ins for the Conflict at Carver, wrestlers who have registered for the tournament will receive automatic admission into the Night of Conflict, free of charge. Tickets for the Night of Conflict will also be available for purchase at the door.
