Last year was a first for the Night of Conflict, but out of all 31 competitors, Aden Reeves stood alone in one respect. He was the only freshman that competed in the event, taking on seasoned veteran Justin Portillo at 113 pounds. This year Reeves will be the first participant from Iowa to return to the Night of Conflict.

Last year it was a no brainer to invite Aden Reeves, who at the time was coming off All-American honors in both freestyle and Greco-Roman at the Cadet National championships. Not much has changed as Reeves placed third as a freshman in 2A, and was once again able to return to the podium placing eighth at the national tournament. Reeves is not only one of the best wrestlers in the state, but FloWrestling has him tabbed as the #30 wrestler overall in the class of 2019.

For his opponent we looked to our neighbor in the south and found Oak Grove’s Connor Brown. Brown is a three-time Missouri state champion is currently ranked #15 at 120 pounds by FloWrestling.

Aaron Costello vs #13 Sammy Evans
