Drew Bennett faces World Team member Dylan D’Emilio

For our next match we brought in a big out of state gun with former Cadet World team member Dylan D’Emilio of Genoa High School in Ohio. His opponent will be none other than Fort Dodge standout Drew Bennett.

D’Emilio has a lengthy track record, which includes making the 2015 Cadet World team, and he was runner-up at the 2016 Trials. D’Emilio was also the 2015 Super 32 eighth place finisher. As far as rankings go D’Emilio sits at #4 at 113, and is ranked #8 overall in the class of 2019. A state champion and Fargo runner-up D’Emilio has built a large reputation, and he is not even half way done with high school.

Bennett reached full-time starter status this past season for Fort Dodge, after backing up the nationally ranked Brody Teske in 2014-15. Bennett has top finishes at NHSCA folkstyle nationals, the Conflict at Carver, and InterMat’s JJ Classic. This past high school season he was third at the state tournament, though that was probably more due to the fact that he ran into eventual state champion Kyle Biscoglia in the quarterfinals.

ABOUT NIGHT OF CONFLICT:

The IAwrestle Team is proud to announce that this October we will be hosting a premier wrestling event titled “The Night of Conflict 2”, and will pit some of the best talent that the country has to offer in a head-to-head battle for supremacy of each weight class. The event is scheduled for October 14, 2016 in Carver-Hawkeye Arena and it will take place the day before the preseason tournament, the Conflict at Carver. The dual will be broadcasted on FloWrestling.

Following weigh ins for the Conflict at Carver, wrestlers who have registered for the tournament will receive automatic admission into the Night of Conflict, free of charge. Tickets for the Night of Conflict will also be available for purchase at the door.
