Three-time Wisconsin state medalist Zach Licht has committed to wrestle his college career in the state of Iowa as the River Valley prep announced that he will compete for Loras College.
”I really liked that Loras is on the rise and they are hungry for a team national championship and hopefully being able to add a couple national titles to my resume as well.” Licht told IAwrestle.
Projecting at 133 pounds, Licht picked the DuHawks over instate options UW-Whitewater and UW-La Crosse. Licht cited a connection with the coaching staff as playing a big role in his decision.
”Coach TJ Miller and Trevor Kittleson are awesome people. After losing a tough match in the state semifinals TJ was the first coach to text me and let me know he still wanted me on his team and was proud of my accomplishments.”
Licht joins a growing class that includes fellow out of state wrestler Christian Fulks (Adams City, Colorado), as well as in-state preps Dylan Olson (Dubuque Hempstead) Brock Parker (Waukee), Tad Griffith (Des Moines Lincoln), Braydon Nunemaker (East Buchanan), and Zachary Thompson (Perry).
