#1 Ali Gerbracht (AGWSR) is the defending state champion, Dan Gable Ms. Wrestler of the Year award winner and now the all-time wins leader among girls in Iowa High School History. Her path to repeat won’t be easy. She should face the winner of a really good R16 matchup between #6 Alexis Partida (West Liberty) and #8 Adyson Lundquist (Southwest Valley) in the Quarterfinals. The other quarterfinal on the top side looks like it should be a showdown between #4 Jalynn Goodale (Osage) against #3 Alaina Sunlin (Monticello).
Bottom side:
#2 Ella Schmit (Bettendorf) was a state runner up at this weight as a freshman last season and has had another stellar year this season. She will get tested as well with possible matches with #9 Abby Blint (Mount Pleasant) in the round of 16 and #5 Marissa Gallup (Charles City) in the Quarterfinals. #7 ranked Maddie Black of Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont is the only ranked wrestler in the other quarter of this bracket. She is an accomplished wrestler but has only wrestled two matches this season (after rankings came out) which caused the disparity between her ranking and her seed.

#1 Tateum Park (Davenport North) is the defending state champion and the favorite at this weight. Her Quarterfinal opponent will likely be #5 Chevelle Gefaller (Denver) but Radaisyia Thomas (Algona) could be a dark horse here. The next Quarterfinal could feature #4 Danica Linn (Colfax-Mingo) against #6 Jordyn Waldrop (Iowa Valley).

#2 Meridian Snitker (Waukon) was a state runner-up at 113 last year and has been wrestling well since bumping up to 120 this season. She will likely face #8 Dahlyn Headington (Decorah) in the Round of 16. #7 (at 126) Rylee Vercande (Mid-Prairie) will have her hands full in the Round of 32 as she will await the winner of #9 Nicolasa Hernandez (Colfax-Mingo) and AAU State Champion Emily Voyna (Cresco, Crestwood). #8 Ashlynn Miller (North Cedar, Stanwood) could see #4 Kiki Connell (Charles City) in the other Quarterfinal here.
