Kevin Dresser has flipped another wrestler that was formerly committed to a Division III school as Ballard’s Tate Battani announced on Twitter has made the decision to attend Iowa State. Battani finished third at this year’s class 2A state tournament at 160 pounds. It was a break out year after placing seventh as a junior and being a state qualifier as a freshman and sophomore. Most recently the Ballard prep won the Northern Plains freestyle regional at 170 pounds.

Previously Battani had committed to wrestle for Iowa native Dave Malecek at University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, but now he joins a Cyclone recruiting class that was recently ranked in the top ten in the country – according to The Open Mat. This is also the second wrestler to flip from Wisconsin – La Crosse in as many years, with last year’s Dowling Cathloic’s Kaden Sauer changing his commitment.
