#7 Grant Harbour (Norwalk) has had a great freshman season but gets the unenviable task of facing defending state champ and #1 Cullan Schriever (Mason City) in the first round. Right below them are #3 Aiden Evans (Bettendorf) and #9 Bailey Roybal (Cedar Falls) making this a loaded quarter and unfortunately one of these guys will be going home 0-2. #6 Ethan Wood-Finley (Iowa City High) is the lone ranked wrestler in the next quarter and looks to have a good path to the semifinals.
Bottom Half:
The upper section of the bottom of the bracket is loaded here too with #4 Lucas Uliano (Waukee) facing #10 Austin Kegley (Cedar Rapids Prairie) and #8 Ivan Thomas (Cedar Rapids Xavier) taking on talented freshman Bryce Parke (Linn-Mar) who was ranked much of the season. #2 Drake Ayala (Ft Dodge) sits on the bottom of the bracket and should see #5 Devin Harmison (Southeast Polk) in the quarterfinals.
