IAwrestle has confirmed that Michigan prep and former Iowa State commit Ben Kamali has decided to reopen his recruiting. The two-time state champion committed to Iowa State in November of his junior year, prior to Kevin Jackson stepping down. The Detroit Central Catholic prep projects to wrestle 125 pounds in college.

Kamali tweeted pictures of his in home visits he received this weekend from Michigan and Virginia:

Of the two schools that have visited Kamali, Virginia stands out with both Travis and Trent Paulson recently joining the Cavilers’ staff. Kamali did inform IAwrestle that he is still considering ISU at this time, but would like to explore other options.

The Cyclones currently have two verbal commitments for the class of 2018 in Weston DiBlasi and Cayd Lara, and are among the suitors currently pursing Fort Dodge lightweight, Brody Teske.
