In the final top-five of the day, Iowa City West put their number two wrestler, Donovan Doyle, in the 195 pound final, squaring off against Prairie’s last finalist, #5 Taylor Mehmen. The final was the closes match the two had all day – both had gotten there with a combined three falls and one major decision – and it ended up a 5-2 decision going to the Trojan. Doyle joined his fellow Trojan Nelson Brands as the two champions for Iowa City West.
