It should come as little surprise that Joe Colon has been named our WoW after his performance at the Bill Farrell open Sunday. Colon made his debut at 57 KG, after spending time up at 61 KG, and he made a spectacular show of that debut. Colon had three big wins a 14-8 win over Nico Megaludis, a 7-4 win over Brandon Precin, and Dan Mitchell 13-6 in the finals. In my opinion Colon’s dominance over this 57 KG field is the most surprising thing since Tony Ramos won Team USA’s World spot last May. This weight is shaping up to be a fun rivalry.

Honorable Mention

Fredy Stroker had another impressive weekend, this time up North at the JJ Clasic where he not only won the 145 bracket, he brought home Outstanding wrestler honors.

Justin Portillo makes the honorable mention list again after capturing a JJ Classic title as well at 106.
