It was another solid round by team Iowa as 29 Juniors remain alive, and of that number 19 remain alive for a title. It is a little bit what we expected from Iowa’s Juniors to this point. So far all of the committed wrestlers to ISU, UNI, and Iowa remain alive in their brackets along with some other talented Iowa wrestlers. Tomorrow will prove how tough Iowa really is as wrestlers still on the championship side still need two more wins to guarantee their spot on the podium. No matter what the wrestlers will need at least two wins, as a loss in the quarterfinals still requires one win to guarantee 8th. With a majority of Team Iowa still on the front side of the bracket, I will admit to being pretty optimistic at the of potential All-Americans, and the potential finalist.
Junior action starts first thing 9:00 AM tomorrow morning, and will go until 1:00 PM. After that there will be a break while the Cadet wrestlers duke it out in their medal matches, before the Juniors get back on the mat Friday night at 6:00 PM (full schedule here).
