The place winning matches have been decided for the five All-Americans on Team Iowa as Gannon Gremmel (220) was the only wrestler to make it to the finals. He did so on the back of one fall and three tech falls to reach the finals. Anthony Sherry (152) has been a pleasant surprise for Iowans as after making the finals in the Greco tournament, he made the semifinals of the freestyle tournament as well. He dropped his next two matches and will be wrestling for 5th place tomorrow. Bryce West (113) was considered one of Iowa’s strongest Cadet wrestlers coming into the tournament, and so far he is looking the part. In Greco he was a runner up, and he will have a chance to wrestle for third in the freestyle tournament. Noah Fye (100) will be wrestling for 7th, with two wins by tech fall to this point. Colton Clingenpeel (138) has had a nice tournament as well. After making the quarterfinals, Clingenpeel has wrestled his way back to the third place match for tomorrow.
