Junior Greco-Roman Results Sessions I and II

Today’s action for the Junior’s gets starts at 9:00 AM and goes through 1:00 PM which will cover the quarterfinals, semifinals, and all of the necessary consolation matches. Then at 2:15 PM the finals will begin. Also note that Phase II of the World Team Trials will be going on in Greco-Roman (full schedule here).

Two Iowans, Brenden Baker (113) and Jake Marnin (285) are the only ones who remain alive for a championship, although eight other wrestlers remain alive for All-American honors.

There are also some out of state recruits competing in Junior Greco, as has Iowa recruit Burke Paddock (160) in the quarterfinals, as is Ronaldo Rodriguez-Spencer (145) of Iowa State. ISU also has commit Colton DiBlasi (152) who fell a round short of reaching the quarters by losing his last match of the night yesterday. DiBlasi is still alive on the backside. Also, a couple of heavyweight recruits are carrying on business as usual, as UNI’s Adarios Jones recorded a tech fall and Iowa recruit Sam Stoll recorded a fall in their first matches. Both recruits received first round byes.
