Northern Iowa’s Taylor Lujan has been named the Big 12 Wrestler of the Week for Week 9. This honor serves as the first Conference award of the season for the senior.
Lujan won the title at the Midlands Championship, going 5-0 in the process, including a perfect 4-0 in the championship bout. The senior registered a pair of falls and a major decision, while his 25-9 technical fall against Utah Valley’s Jacob Armstrong helped the Panthers to their first Big 12 victory of the season.
