The state of Iowa is sending a very tough team of girls to compete at the AAU Wrestling Scholastic Duals Girls Nationals at Disney’s Wide World of Sports from June 19th – 21st. The competition will be dual format and dual teams consist of 12 weights.
With the growth of girls wrestling in Iowa this looks to be the strongest squad that Iowa has sent to Disney Duals and they should be in the thick of things for a team title next week. See the full roster of who will be competing for team Iowa below.

112 Kari German
Kari was ranked 3rd in the state for the 2018/2019 school year. She has been on the varsity wrestling team for 2016/2017 and 2018/2019. She was co captain on wrestling team 2018/2019 school year. 2018/2019 Kari placed 3rd in the first ever girls sanctioned state wrestling. AAU 2018 she placed 4th and 2019 she placed 6th due to injury. Kari’s biggest accomplishment was getting the courage to be the first girl at Starmont to join the wrestling team and not care what anyone thought of her.
