Martensdale St. Mary’s State Champ Logan Schumacher’s college decision ultimately came down to two Division I programs, go east and wrestle for up and coming Campbell University or stay closer to home and wrestle for coach Dresser and the Cyclones.  IAwrestle was informed Friday morning that Coach Dresser and the Cyclones was the final choice for the MSTM four-time state place-winner. Schumacher ended his high school career with a 204-7 record competing for the Blue Devils.

Logan will look to crack the lineup at 174 or 184, after redshirting during the 2018-19 season.  When asked what made ISU stick out in the end, Logan said “I absolutely loved the atmosphere that they had there. The coaches were great to me and super helpful through the process.”

He joins a strong recruiting class for Iowa State including in state commits Joel Shapiro, Isaac Judge, Francis Duggan, Grant Stotts, Anthony Sherry, Zane Mulder, and Hunter Dejong as well as out of state commits David Carr of Ohio and Tyler Buesgens of Minnesota.
