
When you think about the sport of wrestling, you think about all the blood, sweat and tears that this young athletes battle through over the course of the season. What some of us forget at times is these young men are Student-Athletes and must obtain a certain standard in the classroom to be eligible to compete on the mat. On Wednesday, the B1G announced the list of Winter Athletes that have carried at least a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better while also competing as a Division 1 athlete. Of the nine Hawkeye named to the list three were full-time starters while a fourth, Phillip Laux, saw time in the lineup due to injury.
