The #5 Peacock wrestling team was back on the mat in Fayette for the first time in a month on Sunday. Maleek Williams (#7) started the dual off on the right foot for the Peacocks with a first period pin (2:43) of Josh Jensen. Williams scored a pair of takedowns and two nearfall points, but didn’t find his winning position until a reversal in the final minute of the first period gave way to his win by fall.

After Tate Barnhardt answered for the Marauders with a win by fall over Chase Seaney (2:23), Jordan Roths took the mat for the 141-pound match against Reed Cronin. He scored a takedown and had four nearfall points waiting in the official’s pocket when he worked his position into UIU’s second pin (4:43) on the afternoon.
