Flowrestling has updated their individual class rankings for seniors down to the incoming freshmen. To view the entire lists you must purchase FloPro and you can do so by clicking on the link under each grade listed (“Class of..”). The state of Iowa features a total of ten wrestlers ranked across the four classes, with Western Dubuque’s Max Lyon as the only remaining senior yet to make his college decision.

Iowa State is clearly building on the recruiting momentum they established in 2016 by landing five wrestlers in the 2017 top 100. The Hawkeyes now have three top 100 recruits with Max Murin joining #1 overall Spencer Lee and long-time commit Luke Troy. The Hawkeyes also have #2 in the class of 2018, Gavin Teasdale.

Next month could/should shake these rankings up with the Super 32 tournament in North Carolina. As it stands today, Alex Thomsen (’18),  Eric Faught (’19), and Cullan Schriever (’20) are all registered for the Super 32, which could be a potential record year for the tournament in terms of participants from Iowa. Aden Reeves will also get his chance to up his stock when he faces #15 at 120 Connor Brown at NOC2.
