Since Iowa does not currently sanction girls wrestling at the high school level, those females interested in wrestling must do so by competing on the boy’s team at their high school. We have been gathering information on girls across Iowa who will be wrestling this season. As of today, there are 37 girls registered on high school rosters for the 2015-2016 season. It is important to note that many schools have not entered their rosters and there will be additional wrestlers added over the next several weeks.
We have listed the wrestlers in their respective classes and districts and have included (when available) their grade level and weight class. Keep in mind that these are the certified weights and many wrestlers will compete at a different weight once the season begins.
