The February MAC Coaches Poll is out, and UNI remains in third with 14 total points. Two Panthers moved in the poll; at 157 Jarrett Jensen dropped to fourth and Curt Maas dropped out of the poll at 174. Jensen and Maas are both 0-2 since the last coaches poll came out.

Blaize Cabell joins teammate Cooper Moore atop the poll at their respective weights this month. Cabell was named MAC Wrestler of the Week after knocking off Missouri’s Devin Mellon for the second time this year. Cabell hasn’t lost a match since December 6th of last year.

Moore is on a similar streak, winning five in a row since returning to the lineup full time after suffering a right elbow injury. Moore will get the chance to take on the second ranked wrestler at home against Old Dominion’s Tristan Warner.

The other names for UNI remain in the same positions for UNI. Dylan Peters sits at second at 125, after losing by major decision to Missouri’s Alan Waters, the MAC’s top ranked wrestler. He’ll wrestle the third ranked wrestler in Brandon Jeske from ODU later this month.

Cody Caldwell also did not move in the poll. He still sits in third after dropping his match against top ranked Willie Miklus. He’ll defend his number three spot against Andrew Romanchik from Ohio today, and he’ll have the chance to move up if he can pick up a win against ODU’s Jack Dechow.

The team race saw UNI lose a team point but remain in third place behind ODU and Missouri. The Panthers will take on the fourth and fifth ranked teams today and Sunday, while they get the second ranked team in their final dual of the year later this month.
