IAwrestle is proud to announce that Night of Conflict is officially sold out ahead of its return on Friday, October 10, 2025, in Iowa City. The preseason showcase will take place at the Courtyard Iowa City University Heights (901 Melrose Ave, Iowa City, IA 52246). Doors will open at 6:30 PM with wrestling set to begin at 7:00 PM.

Fans unable to secure tickets can still catch every moment live on the IAwrestle Rokfin channel.

This year’s edition marks a heartfelt homecoming, nearly 10 years to the day from the inaugural Night of Conflict on October 16, 2015, held at the iconic Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City. The event immediately made a statement by bringing marquee matchups to one of the sport’s most iconic stages. From there, the event hit the road across the state—stopping in Sioux City, Des Moines, Cedar Falls and Waterloo—each year building on its reputation as the place to see state champions collide, national talent test themselves, and rising stars announce their arrival.

Through the years, Night of Conflict has featured dozens of eventual NCAA standouts and Division I recruits, cementing its status as a proving ground for wrestlers looking to compete on the biggest stages. Whether at Carver or a convention center packed shoulder-to-shoulder, the event has always been about the same thing: putting elite high school talent under the spotlight and giving fans a preview of the future of wrestling.

“To see this event sell out in less than six hours shows just how much excitement wrestling fans have for Night of Conflict,” said IAwrestle founder Tony Hager. “From the very beginning we wanted to give athletes a big stage and fans an unforgettable experience, and the 10-year anniversary in Iowa City will be exactly that. For those who couldn’t get a ticket, we’re proud to deliver the full experience live on Rokfin.”

Match announcements will continue to roll out in the weeks leading up to the event, with the signature blend of in-state rivalries, out-of-state showdowns, and nationally ranked talent set to highlight the card.

Andy Franke (Muscatine) vs Riley Johnson (Omaha Skutt Catholic, NE)

Up next is a border battle between Muscatine’s Andy Franke, who is taking on Nebraska’s Riley Johnson.

Franke had a lot of success at Iowa’s youth level, winning the 14U triple crown prior to high school. Since then he has qualified for the state tournament twice, medaling in one of those appearances, and he has earned All-American status at Fargo and U17 Greco-Roman Nationals.

Johnson has established himself as one of the top seniors in the state of Nebraska, hailing from powerhouse program Skutt Catholic in Omaha. Johnson is a U17 All-American and is a three-time state finalist having won a pair of titles. NEwrestle has Johnson as the #3 overall senior in the state, and MatScouts has him ranked on his 2026 Big Board.

Abbie Peterson (Denver) vs Lily Enos (Batavia, Illinois)

This next match will feature one of the top incoming prospects for Iowa high school wrestling in Abbie Peterson taking on an established Illinois star wrestler Lily Enos of Batavia.

Folks in Iowa should be well familiar with Peterson’s name and if they aren’t, now is a good time to get acquainted. The Denver wrestler has won a Pan-Am gold medal, has completed USA Wrestling’s Triple Crown two different times, has won nine USA Wrestling National titles, and 22 state titles when factoring AAU and USA Wrestling titles.

Enos is a three-time Illinois All-State wrestler, and in 2024 she won Fargo and finished as the runner-up for the U17 World Team spot. In July she made the podium after moving up to the Junior division out at Fargo.

Izaac Gaines (Geneseo, Illinois) vs Easton Kammerud (Mount Horeb, Wisconsin)

A pair of Fargo All-Americans will square off when Izaac Gaines of Illinois meets Wisconsin’s Easton Kammerud in this in this middle weight matchup.

Gaines has qualified for the Illinois state tournament each season, and also boasts a freestyle state runner-up and individual title over the same stretch of time. This summer he tore through the early stages of his Fargo bracket to reach the semifinals before ultimately finishing fourth in the 16U bracket.

Kammerud was a 14U national champion in freestyle and national runner-up in Greco-Roman back in 2024, and has also enjoyed success at the high school level. In the Spring he finished third at U15 Nationals and he also took third out at Fargo in the 16U division.

Kaden Stitt (Choctaw, Oklahoma) vs Preston Wagner (Fremont, Nebraska)

This next matchup will feature two talented out of state wrestlers with Oklahoma’s Kaden Stitt taking on Nebraska’s Preston Wagner in a heavyweight battle.

Stitt’s resume includes qualifying for the Oklahoma state tournament in all three of his high school seasons, taking second as a junior. He has also medaled at the Reno Tournament of Champions and at Preseason Nationals.

Wagner is one of the state of Nebraska’s top seniors, qualifying for the state tournament all three years and bringing home a medal in two of those trips. He is currently ranked #18 in MatScouts’ rankings at his weight class, and he is a U17 All-American. He also was a dual All-American at Fargo back in 2024.
