Below are the 2020 IA wrestle Preseason All-State Teams.

106 – Nate Jesuroga – Southeast Polk – Sophomore
Jesuroga is currently ranked #2 in the nation at 106 pounds. 3rd place finisher in class 3A at 106 pounds as a freshman in 2019. 3rd place at 2020 Super 32.
113 – Gable Porter – Underwood – Sophomore
Porter was the class 1A state champion as a freshman last season going 35-0.
120 – Bailey Roybal – Waverly-Shell Rock – Senior
Roybal was the 2019 state champion in class 3A and a two-time state medalist. He is committed to South Dakota State University.
126 – Drake Ayala – Fort Dodge – Senior
Ayala is a three-time state finalist and two-time state champion for Fort Dodge. He’s a multiple time freestyle national champion and is ranked #1 in the nation. He is committed to wrestle at the University of Iowa.
132 – Matthew Lewis – Centerville – Senior
Lewis is a three-time state champion and is hoping to become only the 29th four-time state champion in Iowa history.
138 – Robert Avila – Lisbon – Junior
Avila is a two-time state champion at Lisbon with a career record of 103-1. He is a folkstyle national champion and Fargo All-American.
145 – Hunter Garvin – Iowa City West – Junior
Garvin is the defending class 3A state champion and a two-time state finalist. He is a folkstyle national champion and recently placed 3rd at the 2020 Super 32.
152 – Caleb Rathjen – Ankeny – Senior
Rathjen is a two-time state champion and three-time state finalist. He is a multiple time All American. He is committed to wrestle at the University of Iowa.
160 – Hayden Taylor – Solon – Junior
Taylor is a two-time state champion for Solon with a career record of 106-2.
170 – Mickey Griffith – Des Moines Lincoln – Junior
Griffith is the defending class 3A state champion and a top 150 prospect nationally in the 2022 class.
182 – Adam Ahrendsen – Union, LaPorte City – Senior
Ahrendsen is the defending class 2A state champion and two-time state finalist. He is a Fargo Greco-Roman national finalist. He is committed to wrestle at the University of Northern Iowa.
195 – Ben Kueter – Iowa City, City High – Sophomore
Kueter won the class 3A 160-pound state title as a freshman going 24-0. He is considered the #9 prospect nationally in the 2023 recruiting class.
220 – Kobe Simon – West Liberty – Senior
Simon was the class 2A state runner-up last season finishing 37-1. He is a two-time state medalist and three-time state qualifier.
285 – Griffin Liddle – Bettendorf – Senior
Liddle is the class 3A defending state champion and a two-time state finalist. He is a Fargo Freestyle national finalist. He is committed to play football at the University of Iowa.
