Former Wilton High School wrestling standout and Iowa Hawkeye Chad Beatty has been named the head wrestling coach at Highline Junior College in Des Moines, Washington.
Beatty was a two-time state champion during his time at Wilton. He went on to wrestle for the University of Iowa where he was a two-time NCAA qualifier in 2009 and 2010. He was also a member of three NCAA championship teams during his time at Iowa.
After college Beatty spent time on the coaching staff at Iowa City West and Cornell College. He went on to be the head coach at Forest Grove High School in Oregon. He was most recently employed by the Washington State Wrestling Association as the Director of Operations.
