Hawkeyes sophomore Austin DeSanto has been named Co-Big Ten Wrestler of the Week following his upset over Nick Suriano. The below release is courtesy of the Big Ten Conference.

Improved to 15-9 on the season, including an 8-3 mark in his last 11 outings
The three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree earns his first career Wrestler of the Week award

Erased a 3-0 deficit in the second by scoring with consecutive escapes and two stalling points to grab a 4-3 lead over the 2018 NCAA Finalist
Improved to 12-1 on the year with a 5-1 record against ranked opponents
Earns his first career Wrestler of the Week award
