Southeast Polk alum Willie Miklus will finish his sixth year at Iowa State University. Last March, the NCAA granted Miklus a sixth year after missing the majority of 2014 and 2017 seasons due to injuries.

“I’m excited to be moving back to Iowa and be closer to my family. I’m moving into a great program and can’t wait to get started.” – Miklus on his transfer.

Miklus earned All-American honors for Mizzou in 2015, 2016 and 2018 and has been a spark plug for the Tigers at 197 pounds going 24-6 with 16 bonus point wins (six falls, seven technical falls, three major decisions). This past season Willie won his first career MAC Championships and finished eighth at the NCAA Championships.

Next season Miklus will look to compete at 197 pounds for the Cyclones.
