Just days after landing their first recruit for the class of 2019 the Panthers have already landed the second member of the class as Wisconsin state champion Parker Keckeisen of Nicolet high school.

”I picked UNI because as soon as I met Coach Schwab and Roper we clicked instantly and I felt like they had believed in me like no other coaching staff.” Keckeisen told IAwrestl, “When I went on my visit and I met some of the guys, I felt as if I’ve known them forever and I knew it was the place for me!“

This past season Keckeisen was the 170 pound state champion in Division I after taking second the previous year at the same weight. Keckeisen also earned a fifth place medal at his state’s 2016 tournament. He’s also earned All-America  honors at USA Wrestling Preseason and Postseason Folksyle nationals, including winning the 2018 Preseason title.

Keckeisen joins a Panther recruiting class with Southeast Polk standout Lance Runyon, who announced his verbal commitment on Friday.
