Coming off a career year in 2017, the 2018 Panthers left a few points on the table in what many suspected to be a strong squad despite the absence of two-time qualifier Bryce Steiert. Even though a couple Panthers fell short of returning to the podium, a new star emerged in Cleveland as 197 pound Jacob Holschlag became the eighth UNI wrestler to medal with Schwab at the helm

The good news is that Schwab may only return one 2018 All-American, but he returns three total as both Thomsen and Foster made the podium in 2017. Pair that trio with Steiert, who is coming off of redshirt, along with Taylor Lujan and the Panthers will have half their lineup as strong candidates to be wrestling for some type of medal on Saturday.

  1. Good, but Penrith had 12 after 8 seasons, and, curiously enough, people were calling for his job in the 7th season of his tenure!
