2017 Iowa Grade School & Junior High State Tournament – LIVE on IAwrestle

DATE: November 26th, 2017 — Wrestling Starts at 9:00am SHARP!!

SITE:   Iowa Events Center (Hyvee Hall)- Des Moines Iowa

CUT-OFF:  We can only accept the first 1000 wrestlers

RULES: Modified National Federation Rules—Folkstyle (minimum rest between matches and maximum number of matches not in effect).

ELIGIBILITY: Open to Iowa Residents ONLY!!!!

PROOF OF GRADE: All Wrestlers will need to supply proof of Grade at the Registration / Weigh-ins.  Current Report Card will work. 

HEADGEAR: Headgear is required.

JUNIOR HIGH : 1 1/2 – 1 1/2 -1 1/2 on Championship side.  Consolation matches will be  1 – 1 – 1

GRADE SCHOOL: 1 1/2 -1-1 on Championship side.  Consolation matches will be  1 – 1 – 1

ENTRY DEADLINE: Online Registration Closes November 19th, 2017 at midnight…. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!!

FEE: $43.00  No Refunds!!!

LATE REGISTRATION AND WALK-INS: There will be a $20.00 fee on top of the registration fee for late registration and walk-ins.  You can ONLY walk-in at weigh-ins.  NO walk-ins the morning of the tournament after weigh-ins.  If you register late, your name will NOT be listed in the event program or on the tournament T-shirt.

CHANGING WEIGHT CLASSES:  You may change weight classes.  If you change weight classes after the November 19th deadline there will be a $20.00 fee.  Please make sure when you register, that you list your wrestler in the right weight class.  For example, If you register your wrestler in the 100 pound weight class, he/she cannot weigh anymore than 100.0.  If he/she weighs 100.1, he/she is overweight.  If you have any questions, please E-mail me before you register.

TWO DIVISIONS:  Wrestlers can wrestle in two divisions.  Wrestlers can only move up a division, they cannot move down.  If you wrestle in two divisions you take on the risk of having two matches at the same time.  We will NOT hold up any matches.   If you wrestle in two divisions you will have to register twice and pay two registration fees.  You will also have to pick up two weigh-in cards.

FORMAT: Double Elimination –  will wrestle to top 8 in each weight bracket. Referee’s decision final.

AWARDS: Medals for the Top 8 place winners in the Grade School and Junior High Division.  Custom singlet for the champion of each weight class.

TEAM AWARDS:  We will award the top 3 teams.  Everyone that wrestles in the tournament will score points for their team.
