No. 18 Caleb Rathjen (Ankeny)

Rathjen has put together a fantastic spring and summer starting with winning the AAU state title earlier in the year and has since gone on to place third at USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals and seventh at USA Wrestling Freestyle Nationals. He also competed for Team Iowa at the Cadet National Duals going 6-0 in freestyle and 5-2 in Greco-Roman competition. His efforts haven’t gone without recognition with Flowrestling ranking him the #14 106 pounder in the country.

You can catch Rathjen at the Night of Conflict on October 13th against No. 4 Matt Ramos. Tickets are now on sale -> HERE

No. 42 Drake Ayala (Fort Dodge)

Incoming Fort Dodge freshman, Drake Ayala claimed gold at the 2017 Cadet Freestyle National Championships this past July at 88lbs. 2017 has been a great year for Ayala kicking the year off with a AAU Winter Nationals Championship along with an Iowa AAU State title. He would follow that up with a Cadet Folkstyle Bronze and double state champ at Iowa/USA Wrestling Championships. It will be interesting to see how Ayala transitions up to 106lbs for the Dodgers this fall. Remember Cullan Schriever won a Cadet title his eighth grade year at 88lbs and went on to win a state championship at 106lbs for Mason City.
