I see that Trent Johnson is shown at152 but he has been wrestling at 145 for at least the last two or more times that I have seen him.
I have heard and assume that he is staying at 145 or not? Any one know?
Yes that was originally the plan and looks like the current plan. The couple weeks leading up to the last set of rankings he had been only at 152 and I was having trouble getting another response from the coach so I moved him up. He will be back in at 145 in the next set.
Why are these rankings different than the predicament
Because diversity and different opinions make any situation better
145 5th ranked Joel’s last name is “Becerra” not “Beccara”. Was wondering when Gabe Pauley at 160 would make the rankings, he will place high, trust me!
Naig beats the #2 guy in 2a soundly and doesn’t move up a single spot, not saying your wrong just curious who the 3 guys in front of him have beaten to keep their spots?
Brinkman is the returning champ so he’s #1. Without checking my spreadsheet, I believe Schott and Sadler are undefeated. Naig is right there with all of those guys for sure, just have to put somebody 4th and the top 3 guys all got it done at 285 last year.
Last year is last year. Who have they beaten this year to prove they should be that high?
It’s not very often a state champ or top 3 finisher turns into a JV level wrestler over night. Those guys tend to get even better the next year, and by “tend to” I mean always.
So obviously no returning champ ever loses right? Because they always get better so obviously no champ could ever lose the next year. Good to know, better call the state and tell them to just award titles to anyone who won a title last year because they always get better, wait there have been guys who won titles in the past as underclassmen but then didn’t repeat as champs. How is that possible, those guys always get better….
I’ll be sure to rank all returning champs no higher than 6th next year.
