- On November 12, Smith helped lead the Duhawks to victory in a dual vs. UW-Stevens Point (30-12)
- Smith jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first period and battled for a 7-5 decision win over Logan Hermsen of UW-Stevens Point
- Hermsen was the NCAA Division III National Champion at 165lbs. last season
- Smith is the second Loras wrestler in as many weeks to defeat a top-five ranked opponent
- Smith is also the second Loras wrestler in as many weeks to earn the IIAC Wrestler of the Week honor
Smith’s teammate Gary Patron Jr. received the honor last week.
