It looks like the first Michigan opponent went down relatively easy, as the Cyclones picked up three bonus point victories en route to their 30-3 domination. Leading the charge were seniors Mike Moreno (165), Kyven Gadson (197), and Tanner Weatherman (174) who all picked up major decisions over their opponents to give the Cyclones a 3-0 start to the season.
Kyle Larson (125) and Earl Hall (133) opened the dual with a pair of decisions for the Cyclones over Brent Fleetwood and Tyler Keselring respectively. The lone blemish against the Cyclones is when top ten foe Zach Horan picked up a decision against John Meeks (141) 6-1, and put the team score at 6-3.
Iowa State never looked back from that point and Gabe Moreno (149), Luke Goettl (157), Lelund Weatherspoon (184), and Quean Smith (285) added decisions of their own to make it 9 Cyclone victories on the night
Iowa State will keep it in Michigan, as their next opponent will be Michigan State on Sunday at 12:00 CT.
