Iowa State fans can get their wrestling fix in early October, as the Cyclones will host their first open practice of the season. The practice will be held in the Harold Nichols wrestling room at the Lied Recreation-Athletic Center with action getting under way at 10 AM.

This will be the public’s first opportunity to get a glimpse of the Cyclones for the upcoming season, and with the possibility of Earl Hall and Gabe Moreno each going up a weight class, Cyclone fans should be interested to see what kind of progress those two have made in weight adjustments. Hopefully every Cyclone has made progress this offseason, but with the challenges of changing weight classes those two stand out in particular.

It will also be the first time fans will get a glimpse of the new addition to the Cyclone room Angel Escobedo, who was brought on as an assistant coach just this past month.

Fans that want to get familiar with the Cyclone wrestling room, can also check out Tony’s Inside look on the Cyclones and see some of the photos of their facilities.
