Former UNI All-American Moza Fay will wrestle at the upcoming CISM World Military Wrestling Championships in New Jersey in early October as a Sergeant in the United States Army.
Fay was a two-time All-American for the Panthers, finishing up his career in 2009 with 119 total wins; making him 7th best in program history. He racked up 37 falls for the Panthers as well, putting him 5th on the all time list.
Fay is a member of the US Army World Class Athletic Program (WCAP). The program is geared to provide Soldier-athetes the support and training to compete and win in national and internal competitions, leading ultimately to the Olympic Games and other international competitions.
This is the first World Championship level tournament that Fay has participated in. The last time we saw Fay on the mat, he was wrestling in the Senior World Team Trial, Phase II, in Fargo. He did not place at the event, going 1-2.
