Council Bluffs, IA — The Mid-America Center will once again host one of the Midwest’s premier youth wrestling events as the King & Queen of the MAC returns on Sunday, December 14, 2025, with the popular Rookies of the MAC tournament running the same day. This all-day showcase brings together hundreds of young wrestlers—from seasoned competitors hunting for championship hardware to first-time athletes stepping onto the mat for the very first time.

Both events reached capacity in previous years, and organizers expect another full crowd in 2025.

Event Schedule — December 14, 2025

Saturday, December 13 — Weigh-Ins (Powerhouse W)

  • 12:00–2:00 PM — Fast Pass Weigh-ins ($20/wrestler)

  • 6:30–8:00 PM — Final Weigh-ins for all divisions

Sunday, December 14 — Competition Day (Mid-America Center)

South Entrance Only

  • 7:00 AM — Doors open

  • 7:45 AM — Wrestler & coach meeting

  • 8:00 AM — National Anthem + start of King & Queen of the MAC

  • 9:00–10:00 AM — Last-chance weigh-ins (Rookies only)

  • 1:00 PMRookies of the MAC begins

  • Awards — Immediately following division completion

  • Adult: $14 online / $17 at door

  • Child (12 & under): $10 online / $13 at door

  • Kids 2 and under: Free

  • Coaches Pass: $28 online / $40 at door

  • Team Bonus: One free coaches band for every 8 wrestlers registered under the same team tag

King & Queen of the MAC – FLYER

Designed for competitive youth wrestlers (no high school athletes), this division offers elite-level matchups in a double-elimination format. Girls may enter either division, including King of the MAC.

SOLD OUT: Registration: $50 online (Walk-in: $70 if space remains
Awards:

  • 1st: Custom ring, quarter-zip pullover, full-sized wall bracket

  • 2nd–4th: Custom rings

  • 5th–6th: Custom medals

Rookies of the MAC – FLYER

Built specifically for beginners, Rookies of the MAC gives developing wrestlers a fun, competitive environment with plenty of mat time.

Eligibility:

  • 3 years of experience or less

  • No state or national place winners

  • Boys and girls combined

Registration: $30 online (Walk-in: $50)
Format: 4–5 person round robin (3–4 matches when possible)
Awards: Trophy & wall chart for champion; medals for 2nd–4th
