This Saturday at Indianola five teams will hit head-to-head in a round robin tournament featuring Fort Dodge, Centerville, Ballard, North Polk, and host Indianola. The tournament will be streamed on the Trackwrestling is available for $15 pay-per-view. The purchase also grants users to access the match archives after the event.

The round robin could feature as many as 15 ranked wrestlers with potentially four head-to-head meetings assuming all wrestlers compete at the weight they are currently ranked. The one thing we know for certain is Indianola’s Ryder Downey will be bumping up to 132 (he is currently ranked second at 126) which puts him in a position to square off with Centerville’s three-time state champion Matthew Lewis.

What could REALLY get things interesting in Indianola is dependent on what Fort Dodge’s Drake Ayala decides to do on the weekend. Ayala is the top 126-pound wrestler in the country, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him bump to 132 to give himself a challenge going up against the bigger competition. We already saw Ayala compete at 132 pounds this past summer at the Legends Of Gold Duals in South Dakota, so the idea of him bumping – especially with competition like Downey and Lewis at 132 – doesn’t feel all that farfetched.

Other potential ranked meetings are between three-time state finalist Nathaniel Genobana (Centerville) and tenth ranked Gage Long (Ballard), state place-winner Kody Cook (Fort Dodge) vs returning state medalist Nick Bockenstedt (North Polk) (Ranked at 145), and Sean Cunningham (Indianola) could see Tucker Pederson (Fort Dodge).
