Adam Allard

The top remaining class of 2020 recruit in Iowa is now off the board as three-time state champion Adam Allard of West Sioux has committed to the University of Northern Iowa. Allard chose the Panthers over Iowa State and North Dakota State.

I am happy to announce that I will be continuing my academic and wrestling career at the University of Northern Iowa. I am very excited to get on the PANTHER TRAIN! I would like to thank my family, coaches, West Sioux, and Legends of Gold for their support during this process.” Allard posted on Instagram.

Allard has been a familiar name in the state of Iowa for years as he has a career record of 149-1 with a chance to join the elite list of four-time Iowa State Champions next season. He also made a splash nationally this summer when he rattled off ten straight victories to place third in the country in Greco-Roman at the USMC/USAW Junior Nationals in Fargo.

Allard joins fellow three-time state champion Cael Happel of Lisbon in UNI’s 2020 recruiting class. The Panthers also have 2020 commitments from Woodbury Central state champion Wade Mitchell and out of state wrestlers Nevan Snodgrass of Ohio and Ethan Basile of Florida.
