Josh Ramirez switches commitment

4 time state champion Josh Ramirez of Dubuque Wahlert has verbally committed to West Virginia and new coach Tim Flynn. Ramirez had committed to Ohio State back in December before having a recent change of heart.

“I didn’t change my mind but God led me here to this program for a reason.” Ramirez told IAwrestle “I believe everything in life happens for a reason and this is where I should be. I don’t have a specific anwser but I’m trusting the process and enjoying every bit of it. I’m blessed and thankful and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Ramirez won 3 state titles in Louisiana before moving to Iowa and winning his 4th state title at Dubuque Wahlert while also helping the team win the traditional state tournament. He projects at 165/174 in college.
