Division III powerhouse has picked up a huge addition in the upper-weights as Iowa Lakes’ Isaiah Cox has given his verbal commitment to wrestle for the Knights. A NJCAA All-American, Cox will be one of the top members of the 2018 recruiting class for Wartburg.
“Isaiah is a great young man who will be a great fit at Wartburg.” Iowa Lakes’ coach Coach Alesch told IAwrestle, “Isaiah strives to be the best and goes about everyday doing all that he can both on and off the mat so opportunities will continue to be in front of him. Isaiah has a bright future in front of him, it excites me to see where this guy is in 5, 10, 20 years from now.”
Cox is a two-time state medalist out of Ottumwa, Iowa where he placed seventh and fifth. After wrapping up his high school career he enrolled at Iowa Lakes where he earned All-American honors as a freshman, taking sixth at 184 pounds this past spring.
