Blake Steege has had a solid career at Denver but has always flown a little under the radar. That is until this past February when Steege burst onto the radar by reaching the state finals at 120 pounds in class 2A. This season Denver will drop to class 1A and Steege is sure to be one of the preseason favorites. Now Steege has decided to continue his wrestling career after high school at Wartburg College. Steege chose the Knights over Upper Iowa and Luther.

“I just liked the atmosphere that coach Keller had with his guys up there,” Steege told IAwrestle “He’s got a great thing going.”

Steege has grown a bit and plans to wrestle either 133 or 141 pounds in college.
