Yesterday, Iowa City made national wrestling headlines when it was announced by UWW and USA Wrestling that Carver-Hawkeye Arena will host the 2018 World Cup. Josh Schamberger, who is the President of the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, was instrumental in the process of Iowa City landing the bid. Schamberger’s efforts have also played a key role in Carver serving as the U.S Olympic Team Trials in both 2012 and 2016.
