Spencer Lee’s quest to join the elite ranks of USA Wrestling by winning his second Junior World title continues in Macon, France. Lee won the 50 kg Junior World title a year ago surrendering only two points in the entire tournament while winning every match by technical superiority. So far Lee is on an even better pace to defend his title.

Lee opened with Turkey’s Engin Cetin and made short work by racking up a technical superiority victory, 11-0. Lee added a fall in the next round by defeating Valentin Damour of France, and another technical superiority win in the quarterfinals, 12-0 against Razvan Kovacs of Romania. Lee finished the morning session off with a 10-0 technical superiority win over Aliabbas Rzazade of Azerbaijan.

Lee won’t wrestle again until 11:00 AM Central time where he looks to defend his World title against Khurshid Parpiev of Kyrgyzstan.
