It’s not too late to get in on the action at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls for the 5th Annual Schwab Mob Golf outing! The event is your chance to meet the UNI Wrestling staff and to help raise money for the Panther Wrestling Club.
UNI alumni, parents, and fans are all invited to the course Saturday August 22nd for four person best-shot tournament. The cost is just $100 per person, and registration includes greens fees, cart, and goodie bag. Lynch’s BBQ will be catering lunch, and golfers can hear UNI Head Coach Doug Schwab speak on his squads’ upcoming season after the rounds. Hole sponsors are also needed! Companies who sponsor at the $200 level will get their company name displayed on a sign on the course. Companies who sponsor at the $500 level will also have a sign on the course, but will also have their logo on the PWC website with a link, and you’ll be listed on PWC emails as a sponsor. Registration is limited to the first 144 paid entry fees. The tournament was full in 2014 and we expect the field to be full again this year, so get your entries in now! After the event at the course everyone is welcome to enjoy a drink at Panther Lounge on 18th street in Cedar Falls.
The Panther Wrestling Club promotes the sport of wrestling at the highest level: the Olympic level. We strive to create an environment where Olympic and World hopefuls can train out of the West Gym — a gym that has produced Olympic Champion Bill Smith, Olympic Silver Medalist Gerald Leeman, and Olympians Bill Nelson and Bill Koll.
