Screen Shot 2015-04-29 at 9.08.18 AMThe  Iowa/USA wrestling is doing a great job increasing competitive opportunities in the state, offer our youth teams more national exposure, and build on the recent  success of our smallest membership category, the girls/women’s division. The loyal wrestling fan base and talented coaching staff across the state have stepped up in many ways to grow this division. Please continue to focus on the future of wrestling, embrace change and help grow wrestling. It is time for Iowa to step up and start hosting more female tournaments. Here is your opportunity to be a Freestyle State Champ!

All Experience Levels welcome at Iowa City West High School for the newest wrestling event for girls. Wrestlers in Kids, Middle School and High School Divisions compete, many for the first time in freestyle.

Freestyle coaches will be there to help with the transition from folkstyle and can help both parents and athletes get more comfortable with the style.

Weigh-ins and wrestling take place on Saturday, May 2nd. The tournament is a great opportunity to wrestle girls from Iowa and neighboring states. Yes, all USA wrestling members are welcome to take a shot at the tournament championship.

No walk-ins this time— sign up on trackwrestling by Thursday 4/30/15.
