It’s been a big day for Coach Eric Keller and the Wartburg Wrestling program. This morning they announced the hiring of assistant coach Landon Williams. This afternoon they received a commitment from Underwood standout Logan James. James was a four-time state place winner finishing 4th, 7th, 2nd, and 2nd.

James said “I wanted to continue wrestling at a school where I could excel as a person and as a wrestler. I feel Wartburg is the best place for me. The coaching staff made it easy to feel at home and the environment is amazing. I love the wrestling community that surrounds the school. I see big things for me as a part of the Wartburg program in the future.”

James projects at 141 or 149 pounds at the next level. He joins fellow Iowa natives Matthew Doyle of Independence, Connor Dehn of Dubuque Wahlert, and Carter Proffitt of Waverly-Shell Rock in the 2020 recruiting class for the Knights.
