Another one of the top recruits in the class of 2019 has come off the board as state champion Lucas Roland of PCM has committed to coach Cary Kolat and Campbell University.

“The small town aspect and I just felt at home with the team sold me on Campbell.” Roland told IAwrestle on his commitment.

Roland was the class 2A 170 pound state champion after posting a 49-1 record as a junior. Roland also placed fifth as a sophomore and seventh as a freshman.

Roland is projected to wrestle 174 pounds at the next level and was also considering Iowa State University.

Campbell also has Iowan Aden Reeves of Albia and top 100 recruit Jason Kraisser (North Carolina) in the 2019 recruiting class. Former Southeast Polk wrestler Zach Barnes is also currently on the roster for the Camels.

  1. […] who is coming off a state title performance as a junior as his breakthrough performance. Already committed to wrestle for Campbell University, Roland’s breakthrough junior season was a memorable one as he capped off his state title run […]

  2. I think you have made a great decision for yourself. PCM is a great HS full of people that have gone on to do very well in college. Campbell would be a great school from small town anywhere. I bet they have great facilities for athletics
