It’s time for a Fab 50 update!
IAwrestle has unveiled our Preseason Fab 50 rankings, identifying the top 50 wrestlers in the state of Iowa. The list, compiled by rankings guru Lars Underbakke, considers athletes who have at least one high school season under their belts. Here is where things stand as we near the beginning of the 2017-18 season.

There are a lot of guys on that list that don’t wrestle freestyle/Greco….Unfortunately its something to talk about for us but clearly these top 50 are very skewed…..

Anonymous, where’s your list? Not everyone can make the final cut, there is just too much talent out there. Like i tell my own kid, “If you want to be on these list: show up and do more. Make sure nobody can question your talent or consistency to preform at a high level.”
Tanner Abbas? Riley Wright?
State champs are left off this list. Just because you place at state doesn’t get you on this list. It’s about who you beat and where.
They have been avoiding Abbas for a long time, it won’t matter….
Noah Fye and Drake Doolittle?
Favoritism prevails with the guys from IA Wrestle.
No doubt! Zach price 25th? Nick graham 50th?
