DIVISONS AND WEIGHT CLASS:
Division A: K-2 Grade: Period times 1-1-1

35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65+**

Division B: 3rd-5th Grade: Period times 1-1-1 58, 65, 73, 82, 91, 100,110+**

Division C: 6th-8th Grade: Period 2-1-1 73, 82, 91,100,115,130,145+**

* We reserve the right to combine weight classes that have 3 or less wrestlers.
**At the highest weight in each division we would create a new bracket if we had a dramatic difference in weight (typically a greater than 15% difference in body weight)

AWARDS: TOP FOUR PLACEMENTS MEDAL. CHAMPION RECIEVES AAU STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WALL CHART, AND A CHAMPIONSHIP SWEATSHIRT!!

WEIGH INS: Saturday February 25th from 6-8 pm and Sunday February 26th 7-7:30am Holiday Inn and Suites 4800 Merle Hay RD, Urbandale IA 50322. Friday night weigh ins for those participating in both AAU Kids State and AAU Girls State will carry over and not be required to re-weigh. Must weigh-in in singlet.

Registration: Entry fee is $25 online registration at http://www.trackwrestling.com. Deadline is February 5th,2017. MUST BRING AAU Cards, PROOF OF GRADE, & Birth Certificate to weigh ins. All AAU cards must be purchased prior to Weigh ins.—NOT sold at door. Purchase online at: http://www.aausports.org. AAU card is not proof of age. MUST BE AN IOWA RESIDENT.

Admission: $15.00 adults/$10 student (ages 5-12)/ Free for kids 5 & under.

Coaches: Coaches must have an AAU card to be on the mat. Coaches band will be $20 and includes admission for Sunday and access to the mats. Floor pass: $20 This allows you onto the floor but not onto the mats. The Floor pass does not include admission. Passes and Admission can be purchased and picked up at weigh ins.

Doors will open at 9 am. The Grand March for the “AAU Kids State” will begin at 9:30. The Girls State participants will be announced and walk out. After which wrestling will begin.

All matches will be wrestled using the numeric match system on Track Wrestling. Each weight class will be assigned a mat that they will wrestle for most of the day. Matches will move as mats open up and will be announced.

Certified Officials. Head gear not required. Mouth Guard for braces. Folk style tournament rules apply. Identical to AAU Kids State.

There will be NO MINIMUM WAIT TIME for those participating in both the AAU KIDS STATE AND AAU GIRLS STATE

Certified trainers will be available

No coolers or food containers are allowed in the auditorium.

A professional photographer will be available providing pictures for purchase

Parents/coaches please verify spelling of names at weigh ins and get changes made that evening.

Make sure any skin conditions are controlled and covered with a doctor’s note.

T-shirt flyer will be emailed as event approaches via email list generated from track wrestling registrations. To be purchased online and delivered at Girl’s State weigh ins.
