Hey, the guys don’t get to have all the fun in Fargo, there was some good women’s action going on this week, and while there wasn’t a ton of women who showed up, the ones that did put on a really good showing.
Of the five women who competed, three of them reached the stand as All-Americans, with one finalist. Team Iowa went 2-1 in the medal round with Jasmine Bailey taking 3rd on an injury default. Next Cassandra Herkelman struck first in the finals to go up 2-0, but then her opponent turned it on and she finished second. The final All-American was Rachel Watters who despite her two losses, beat up on all her opponents, winning by either tech fall or by pin.
